Open raster file in Photoshop1.Image >mode>greyscale(discard colour information) 2.Image>adjustments>brightness-contrast(increase contrast a lot, brightness a little) 3. Image>adjustments>posterise (3 is good)Save image as a png file

Next open new png file in Illustrator 1. Select tool click on image 2. Click Image Trace 3. Now Expand (same place as image trace)You no have blue points on your imageyou can select these points to manipulate

Next create your own crest - Black & White, VectorsOpen new file in Illustrator200 x 200 mm Use vectors that you have created, downloaded and selected from the built in symbols libraries. Keep adding layers, use opacity.
